I didn't know it either, but I've found out that "A meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem) is "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture". The word meme was coined by Richard Dawkins in his 1976 book 'The Selfish Gene', as an attempt to explain the way cultural information spreads."
That is so cool, Raum. I read further that R. Dawkins got his idea from an ancient Greek word, Mimema, meaning "that which is imitated." Also, a meme has evolved into something that isnt an exact copy, but is more of an imitation that is often used to satirize the original. Like the series of pics of Otters that have poses similar to Benedict Cumberbatch. Mr. Cumberbatch (the star of wildly popular Sherlock Holmes TV series) was a great sport about this! For a laugh, go to YouTube and type in Benedict Cumberbatch Otter Memes.
Never understood what meme means.
